Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda has passed away, 11 days after meeting with a horrific accident in Himachal Pradesh on September 27 while travelling through the Solan district. His untimely death has sparked widespread grief among fans across the country. Singer Diljit Dosanjh also took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late artist. Diljit shared Rajvir's photo in front of the Golden Temple, Amritsar, and wrote "Waheguru" in Punjabi. At his recent Hong Kong concert, the singer had urged fans to keep Rajvir in their prayers. He emphasised the power of prayer, describing Rajvir as “a very dear brother” and “a beautiful singer.” In a clip shared by Diljit Dosanjh’s team on Instagram, he can be heard saying in Hindi, “Please pray for him. Prayers have a lot of impact. He should get well soon. He should come back to us, back on stage. He is a very beautiful singer, Rajvir Veera.” Other celebrities from the Punjabi film industry also paid heartfelt tributes to the late singer. Actor-singer Gippy Grewal shared on Instagram, “This made my heart go empty. Waking up to this terrible news is unbearable. My brother Rajvir, your last days were so difficult you showed such strength. His bike lost control, and he fell onto the highway. The accident left him severely injured, with major head and spinal injuries. He had been on life support since the incident before he breathed his last on Wednesday.
