Designer Gaurang Shah wants to style Rekha

'I would now like to see Rekha in a sari designed by me. She looks gorgeous in sari.'

Hyderabad-based designer Gaurang Shah has expressed his desire to style veteran actress Rekha.

Kirron Kher has been wearing my saris and even Vidya Balan has on some occasions. I would now like to see Rekha in a sari designed by me. She looks gorgeous in sari… she carries it off well,” Gaurang told PTI.

He today presented his collection at ‘Stridhan’,a revival of Indian textile art -Patan Patola,fabric from Gujarat,on the fourth day of the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter-Festive 2013.

Kirron Kher was show-stopper today.

She wore a stunning Patola sari and dupatta teaming up with antique neck piece,earringand sported a vermilion mark.

The show opened with a foot-tapping Gujarati folk song.

For women’s wear,Gaurang created anarkalis,lehengas,shararas,ghagras,saris and khadi dupattas were added to complete the ethnic look.

He introduced traditional men’s outfits with Patan Patola sherwani,dhoti,kurta and even a Turban (Pagadi).
