Baby John box office collection day 3: Varun Dhawan-starrer Baby John has been struggling to survive at the box office as the collections of the film have been dropping steadily since its release. After three days in the theatres, the film has managed to make only Rs 19.65 crore at the box office, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. Baby John has been facing some tough competition from Pushpa 2 and Mufasa as they are both continuing to make more money than the Varun Dhawan film.

Pushpa 2 ruled the box office for over 20 days but is still making more money than VD’s new release. On Pushpa 2’s 23rd day, the film made Rs 6.5 crore in Hindi, which is more than Baby John’s Rs 3.65 crore. Mufasa, which has released across multiple languages also made Rs 6.6 crore on is eighth day in the theatres. Baby John had 935 shows in the Delhi-NCR region on Friday which witnessed only 10 percent occupancy. In the Mumbai region, the film saw 614 shows with an overall occupancy of 14.5 percent.

Varun hasn’t had a solo hit in theatres since 2017’s Judwaa 2. Baby John was his biggest opener since 2019’s Kalank, which opened with Rs 21.6 crore, but had a massive fall after that and flopped at the box office. His 2022 film Jugjugg Jeeyo, which also starred Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in lead roles, was perceived as a hit and managed to make Rs 85 crore at the domestic box office.

Baby John’s opening day collection of Rs 11.25 crore had raised hopes, but the subsequent drop in collections has been alarming. As Baby John enters its first weekend, it remains to be seen if it can bounce back and sustain itself at the box office. The film’s success will depend on its ability to attract audiences and hold its own against Pushpa 2 and Mufasa. The real test for Baby John begins now, and it will be interesting to see if it can rise to the challenge and carve out a niche for itself in the crowded box office landscape.
