Based on the life of late legendary actress Savitri, the bilingual film is titled Mahanati in Telugu and Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil. The film, which stars Keerthy Suresh and Dulqueer Salman in the lead, is set to hit the screens on May 9.
Keerthy Suresh will play the role of Savitri in the biopic of the late actress. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the film will also star Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda. It will release in Tamil as Nadigayar Thilagam.
Actor Keerthy Suresh said that she had to deal with a lot of disbelief from other people in regards to her ability to play the role of legendary actor Savitri. Mahanati will release in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously worldwide on May 9.
