Babil Khan claps back at Sai Rajesh for slamming his clarification; Harshvardhan Rane advises actor to ‘stay away from after-parties, alcohol’
Babil Khan reacted to a post by filmmaker Sai Rajesh and said he gave two years of his life to the film.

Actor Babil Khan returned to Instagram hours after going dark, amid controversy that he said that Bollywood is ‘f******’ and some of the actors are ‘rude’. His team later released a statement, saying that his words were misinterpreted and the actor can have a bad day like all of us. Babil also dropped messages for many actors on his profile. After Babil’s clarification, filmmaker Sai Rajesh shared a lengthy note on his Instagram and said that he deserves an apology from Babil. The actor was part of Sai Rajesh’s Hindi remake of his film Baby.
Meanwhile, actor Harshvardhan Rane also took to Instagram, sharing advice for Irrfan Khan’s son. He asked him to ‘focus on his craft’ and ‘stay away from the events and after parties, so as to avoid interaction with irritants.’

Sai Rajesh demands apology from Babil Khan
On Sunday, late actor Irrfan Khan’s son, Babil posted some videos on his Instagram Stories. While he lashed out at Bollywood, he later deleted his account. He later returned saying that the videos were “extremely misinterpreted”. Babil said that he was praising the actors and not criticising them. Following this clarification by Babil, director Sai Rajesh shared a lengthy post, which he later deleted.
Reddit shared the screenshots of the post which also had some reactions by Babil Khan in the comment section. Sai wrote, “To Babil Khan’s team. Do you really think we’re that naive to just walk away silently? What kind of attitude are we being subjected to? It feels like only those whose names were mentioned in his video deserve respect — and the rest of us are just fools for standing by him all this while?”
He added, “If you’re making them feel valued just because he gave them a shoutout, and ignoring the rest of us — then yes, we do deserve an apology for how things have been handled. I genuinely wanted to stand by him even until an hour ago. But if you’re taking us for granted, that stops here. These sympathy games won’t work on us anymore. A sincere apology is the least you owe us. Say it, and let’s move on.”
Babil replies, ‘You broke my heart’
Taking to the comments section, Babil reacted by saying, “You really broke my heart. After everything I’ve given to you. @satish_naidu1982 2 years of my life, complete physical atrocity to my body just so I can do justice to his character, I gave him my soul, rejected everything that came in my way for 2 years, anything and everything he needed, for 500 days of my life.”
Babil also mentioned that he had put himself through suffering for the character in Sai’s film and wrote, “Not to mention, the pain and the suffering I put in my soul, lived in filth just to make sure sir @sairazesh is happy with the character. It’s okay now. I’ll let my work speak. Goodbye. Man, I had bugs in my beard because he needed that in the character. I gave him my laughter while I held back my tears. I slit my f****** wrist for him,” he added. Babil later deleted his comments and Sai, his post.

Harshvardhan Rane advises Babil to ‘stay away from events, parties’
Sanam Teri Kasam actor Harshvardhan Rane also shared advice for Babil. “Dear Babil Khan, you’re blessed with God level genetics in acting, we need you to carry on the legacy! Please just give your best to the craft and after that ‘stay away from the events and after parties’, so as to avoid interaction with irritants,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I am not from a film family. I have learnt that people won’t treat you badly if you don’t allow them. You need to ‘stand your ground.’ … also please ‘stay away from alcohol and any such stuff’, because to stand tall you will need strength. Please take care.”
Babil’s team share statement
“Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days – and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon.
In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration – for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry. We respectfully urge media publications and the public to consider the full context of his words rather than drawing conclusions from fragmented video clips.”
