Anil Kapoor celebrates 38 years of Yudh: ’38 years since Jhakassss came into our lives and never left’

Anil Kapoor has played several iconic characters over the years but his style of saying “Jhakaas” has become synonymous with the actor. The catchphrase featured in Anil’s 1985 film Yudh, which completed 38 years of its release on Wednesday. Anil remembered the film’s team on the special day.
Anil played the double role of public prosecutor Avinash Rathod and hitman Junior in Yudh. The film also starred Jackie Shroff, Tina Munim, Nutan and Danny Denzongpa in pivotal roles. Remembering the film, Anil shared some stills of the movie on Twitter and wrote, “38 Years of #Yudh and 38 years since #Jhakassss came into our lives and never left! I always remember #Yudh very fondly for so many reasons! Working with the producer Gulshan Rai and his son Rajiv was a pleasure, Tina Munim was a fabulous costar and Jackie was, as always, a blast!”
The actor added, “I also loved working with Nutanji because she was always so warm and caring, she reminded me of my own mother…Plus, who can forget a dream chance to dance with the one and only Hemaji! Yudh really was a gift that hasn’t stopped giving.”

Anil Kapoor’s fans also shared their memory of Yudh. A fan noted, “Great movie ..This was your first role as a villain too ..Brilliant acting ..jhakaaas You still acting brilliant..” Another follower wrote, “A real entertainer with a twist after that double role angle came up.”
Anil Kapoor was last seen in the Disney Plus Hotstar series The Night Manager. The actor will soon be seen in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The actor is also taking training to fit his part in upcoming action film Fighter, which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
