Amitabh Bachchan pays tribute to Subrata Roy: ‘From nothing to a thing that did not possess a no’
Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to pay his tribute to Sahara chief Subrata Roy, stating how the late businessman build an empire from scratch.

Many notable people remembered the businessman and paid tribute to him. Veteran star Amitabh Bachchan also took to his blog to mourn the demise of Roy.
“.. one by one the past leaves us .. they who become your attachment, your close .. one day they leave .. and the void remains that unkept untreated volcanic depth of unknown void ..no more the presence .. no more the affection .. all gone ..for them a better residence .. for us left behind that void of the crater, filled with the laked waters of nature .. unexplained, yet there till time decides to unwind and relive ..it never does .. but no harm in reliving that for the self ..,” he wrote.
Big B also lauded Roy for building his company from scratch, calling it ‘an empire’. He penned, “Single handedly, with no generational affliction, he built an envious empire .. from nothing to a thing that did not possess a ‘no’ .. the ‘no’ of nothing .. gone ..just the times of memory and remembrance .. as does life with all of us ..prayers to suffice the absence .. the gentle reassurance to them left behind..”

The thespian reportedly had close connections with Roy. It’s said that the late businessman helped the actor when his company, Amitabh Bachchan Corp Ltd was running into losses.
Popular as Saharasri, he, besides building the Sahara India Group, also established the Sahara One Motion Pictures, the movie production and distribution company behind popular films like No Entry, Wanted and Dor. Many celebrities from the film industry mourned his demise.
