Actor Akshay Kumar has been known for speaking his mind. However, it seems now the negativity around him has been taking a toll on the superstar. In a recent interview, Akshay opened up about being questioned for working hard and actors facing constant comparisons. He also shared his opinion on critics’ feedback.

In a conversation with Galatta, Akshay said, “When they categorize an actor in number one or two, a lot of times I feel like a Mahalaxmi ka ghoda who is running in a race. Hindi cinema makes about 190-200 films in a year. Then there are South films, with so many films, there are just 8 to 12 actors so why will we fight about who is number one and who is not, everybody has work. The whole idea is to just work.”

He added, “A lot of people have problems as to why am I doing 4 films a year. I don’t understand this. For the first time in my life, I have heard somebody saying why are you working so much. Have you ever heard a question why do you work? I do 4 films a year and people have a problem with that.”

Akshay Kumar also expressed his concern over film reviews these days. While Akshay revealed that stars and ratings can be bought, the actor also shared he only values feedback from very few critics. “Being in the industry for so long you become thick-skinned, nothing affects you. But it is most welcoming when somebody valuable like a critic talks about it. I take it and value it. Being in the industry you have come to know who is a good critic and who is a bad one. We know there are things people buy out, stars you can buy out. Good critics when I read them. I take it, but yahan toh koi bhi uthke aa jaata hai, it’s become very chaotic.”
