Akhil Mishra’s wife Suzanne Bernert pens emotional note in late husband’s memory: ‘I can’t anymore’

Suzanne shared a photo of the two of them and wrote that they spoke to each other many times a day, and sometimes it was just by exchanging glances. She added that she was thankful to everyone who was extending their support in her time of grief.
Her note read, “This was us 💔 always engaging with each other,talking,many a times just by a glance … You were Myne and I was yours ❤️ am overwhelmed by all the love pouring out, and I wish that your love takes his soul ahead to where it is going…like a wave … I am thanking everyone here for all the messages. I hope you can understand I can’t answer all (what you know me for), but be assured I am reading the comments and am taking that love and support .. And now usually I would show this post to @akhillmishraa to ask his opinion..something to add or clarify…now I can’t anymore …”

Suzanne Bernert was in Hyderabad when Akhil Mishra passed away and rushed back as soon as she heard the news. She recently shared with India Forums as to how her husband had put his career on hold so she could learn Hindi to get better roles. She said, “All the characters that I played were foreigners who needed an accent. Fluency suddenly became an issue with my show Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, as I needed to be perfect, and my husband gave all his time and put his career on hold to help me on a daily basis to speak shudh Hindi.”
Akhil played the role of librarian Dubey in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. He has also been part of films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Well Done Abba, Calcutta Mail and Shah Rukh Khan’s Don. He was also a part of TV shows like Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se, Uttaran, Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna and Shrimaan Shrimati among others.
Akhil Mishra passed away on Tuesday at the age of 67. He was on a stool in the kitchen when he reportedly fell down and hurt his head. The actor was found bleeding and was rushed to the hospital. He died after a few hours.
