After Hema Malini, Esha Deol opens up about Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 success: ‘We are all happy for him’

Recently, veteran actor Hema Malini congratulated Sunny Deol for the success of his new film Gadar 2, and now, actor Esha Deol has also expressed joy on the film’s massive success. Esha had held a special screening of Gadar 2 in Mumbai some days ago. The film has made Rs 425 crore in India so far.

Expressing joy about Gadar 2’s success, Esha told India Today, “I knew how much bhaiya had been shooting for it and it really meant a lot to him. And when it is doing so well, we are all equally happy for him and it is well deserved. Only Sunny Deol can do what he did in a film like Gadar 2.” Esha is Sunny’s half-sister.

Earlier, Hema Malini has commented on how she’s “so thrilled” about her stepson Sunny’s film doing so well in theatres. Talking to News 18 Showsha, Hema said, “People love Sunny a lot. They wanted him. I also used to tell him you have to do the best one now. Karna padega (You’ll have to). (He would say) Haan haan, main karunga (Yes yes, I will do it). He’s very sweet. And he did this picture and I am so thrilled about it. He has got so much of appreciation, so much publicity, very nice. Each and every scene was so good.”

Celebrations are in order for the Deol family as even Esha’s Ek Duaa, directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee, got a special mention in the non-feature film category at the recently announced National Film Awards.

Gadar 2 director Anil Sharma, on Friday, threw a big bash for the film’s cast and crew in Mumbai. Sunny Deol showed up for the party with brother Bobby Deol. Others present at the party were actors Utkarsh Sharma, Simratt Kaur, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra and music director Mithoon.
