‘I never thought…’: Sunny Deol thanks fans as Gadar 2 crosses Rs 400-cr mark, Dimple Kapadia ignores paps as she watches the film
As Gadar 2 crossed the Rs 400 crore mark, Sunny Deol posted a video thanking fans. On the other hand, Dimple Kapadia was spotted exiting theatre watching the film.
Dimple Kapadia watched Gadar 2 on Tuesday, while Sunny Deol thanked fans for the love.
Yesteryear star Dimple Kapadia recently headed to watch Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 at Gaiety-Galaxy in Mumbai. The film was released on August 11 and has since then created a rage at the box office. The sequel to the 2001 partition drama has already crossed Rs 400 crore and looks unstoppable.
On Tuesday, Dimple along with a friend was seen exiting the theatre after catching a show of the Anil Sharma directorial. Dressed in a white oversized shirt, with black pants and a hat, the actor looked lovely as she raced towards her car. While the paparazzi stationed outside tried to stop her for photos and videos, she tried to block their cameras and quickly left in her car.

Several years ago, Dimple was said to be in a relationship with Sunny Deol. The actor was married to Rajesh Khanna, who died in 2012. They have two kids, Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. Sunny, on the other hand, is father to two sons — Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol.

“Hello everyone, first and foremost aap sabkoa bohot bohot dhanyavad. Aaplogo ko Gadar 2 pasand aayi.. maine kabhi socha nahi tha. Humlog 400 cross kar chuke hai, aage bhi jayenge but yeh sab aap hi ke wajah se hua hai. Aap sabko film pasand aayi, Tara Singh pasand aaya, Sakina pasand aayi…pura parivar aaya, isiliye thank you thank you (Firstly, thank you everyone, you all liked Gadar 2. I had never thought we would cross Rs 400 crore and go ahead. All this was possible because of the audience. You all liked Tara Singh, Sakina and the entire family, so thank you),” he shared in the video.
Gadar 2 is on course to cross the Rs 500 cr mark in its lifetime run and will aim to cross the record of Pathaan, which is the highest-earning Bollywood film of all time at Rs 524 cr (Hindi language only).
Even if Gadar 2 isn’t able to breach the all-time record of the Yash Raj Film’s spy actioner, its numbers are impressive considering it had a box office face-off with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer, while Pathaan was a solo release.
Gadar 2 also stars Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma and Manish Wadhwa.
