Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan tied the knot on April 20, 2007, and for the last 16 years, they have time and again expressed their fondness for each other and also for their work as actors. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently starred in Mani Ratnam’s directorial Ponniyin Selvan 2 and got lots of praise and love for her role. Her husband and fellow actor Abhishek Bachchan also revealed how he complimented his wife Aishwarya for her work in PS2.

Abhishek Bachchan, on his recent IIFA 2023 outing was asked what compliment he gave his wife Aishwarya after watching her in PS 2. “Well, I told her it was her best work till date as an actor and unbelievable feat to accomplish with a role like that, very layered, very difficult and to ace it as the pro that she did it was fantastic. I’m so proud of her,” shared the doting husband in an interview with Bollywood Bubble.

Earlier, after the release of the film PS2, Abhishek took to Twitter too to praising wife Aishwarya, and the film’s team. “#PS2 is simply FANTASTIC!!! At a loss for words right now. So overwhelmed. Well done to the entire team #ManiRatnam @chiyaan @trishtrashers @actor_jayamravi @Karthi_Offl and the rest of the cast and crew. And so, so proud of the Mrs. Her best by far #AishwaryaRaiBachchan,” he wrote then.

A Twitter user wrote then, “As you should! Now let her sign more movies and you take care of Aaradhya.” responding to this, Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Let her sign??? Sir, she certainly doesn’t need my permission to do anything. Especially something she loves.”

The Mani Ratnam directorial stars Aishwarya along with Karthi, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, and Jayam Ravi in the lead roles. The second part released in theatres on April 18, 2023.
