UP Board Class 10th, 12th compartment exam 2023 postponed to July 22

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) today announced that the compartment exams for Class 10, 12 have been postponed. The detailed schedule will be released at the official websites of the board — upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in.

According to the official notification released by the UP Board, the compartment exams will now be conducted on July 22. Earlier, the compartment exams for intermediate and matric were scheduled to be held on July 15.

Class 10 compartment exams will be conducted in the morning shift, i.e. 8 am to 11:15 am, and the intermediate (Class 12) exams will be held in the evening shift, i.e. 2 pm to 5:15 pm.

A total of 44,669 students have registered for compartment exams, out of which 18,400 students have registered for the high school compartment exams and 26,269 for the intermediate exam. This year, a total of 31,16, 487 candidates appeared for the matric exams, and a total of 27,69,258 students had appeared for the class 12 exams, according to the data released by the state board.

This year, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 was recorded as 89.78 per cent and 75.52 per cent for Class 12 students. As per the UPMSP passing marks criteria, students need to score a minimum of 35 per cent marks in each subject. Those who fail in one or more exams will be given a chance to appear in compartment exams.
