UCEED 2025: IIT Bombay releases exam schedule, registration begins

UCEED 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) on October 1 started the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2025 registration at its official website— uceed.iitb.ac.in at 1 pm. The examination for UCEED is scheduled for January 19 between 9 am and noon in a single shift.

The last date to register for the UCEED is October 31 with no late fees. The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 2000, if belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1995, if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category.

“A candidate should have appeared for the Class 12(or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2024 OR 2025 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2025. Students from all streams (science, commerce, and humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class 12) in 2023 or earlier are not eligible to appear in UCEED 2025,” read the information brochure.

A candidate can attempt UCEED for a maximum of two times and those two shall be in consecutive years. The UCEED score is valid for only one year. Students from all streams are eligible for UCEED. Here are the important dates of the examination:

UCEED 2025: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website – uceed.iitb.ac.in and click on the registration link.

Step 2: Designing aspirants are then required to fill in the required information such as name, mobile number and email ID and submit it to get the login credentials on the email address.

Step 3: Using the login credentials, fill in more personal details such as name, parents’ name, contact info, gender, date of birth, academic details, and exam centre and also upload necessary documents in the prescribed format.

Step 4: Pay the UCEED registration fee and submit and take a printout of the submitted UCEED application form 2025 for future reference.

UCEED 2025: What next?

Once the examination is conducted, here is when provisional answer keys, final key and cut off will be announced.

IIT Bombay conducts the exam under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee 2024 (hereafter referred to as the UCI Committee). The examination verifies admissions for the degree of Bachelor of Design (B.Des) into the IITs of 27 cities in India.

UCEED 2025 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor’s Degree programme in Design (BDes) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ), must appear for the exam.
