Tamil Nadu +2 Result 2024 declared, 94.56% students pass, zero students failed in 397 govt schools

TNDGE Board Class 12 Result: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE) today declared the Class 12 HSE. The TN plus 2 result scorecards are available at the official websites – dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

About 94.56% students passed +2 exams. As many as 397 government schools have 100 per cent pass rate. No students in these 397 schools have failed.

Among the total 4,86,961 students appearing in science, as many as 4,69,177 passed. Of the 2,28,804 total students in commerce, the total number of students passing is 2,11,545. The total number of students taking the TN +2 HSE in arts and vocational was 11,585 and 33,256 respectively. Of them as many as 9,925 students passed the TS plus 2 exam in arts and 28,549 in vocational.

Thirupur remained the top performing district with 97.45 per cent followed by Sivagangai, Erode, Ariyalur and Coimbatore.

Candidates will be required to key in their registration number or roll number and password to check the TN HSE +2 scorecard. The TN Class 12 HSC plus 2 exam was conducted between March 1 and 22 for over eight lakh students.

This year, a total of 7,60,606 candidates appeared of which 7,19,196 passed. Among them, 3,93,890 (96.44%) girls passed while 3,25,305 (92.37%) boys passed. Only one third gender candidate appeared and passed.

The number of students appearing the TN Class 12 +2 exams has declined over the years. While there were 8,42,512 students in 2019, in 2020, the number of students dropped to 7,79,931. The number although increased in 2021 to 8,16,473, it dropped again to 8,06,277 in 2022, and finally, in 2023, the number of students taking the exam declined to 8,03,385.

Last year, the TN HSE plus 2 result was declared on May 8. The TN HSC + 2 exams last year were held between March 4 and 25. The overall pass percentage last year in all the streams combined was 94.03 per cent. The overall pass percentage in science was 96.32 per cent in 2023, while in commerce and arts, it was 91.63 per cent and 81.89 per cent respectively.
