TN HSC results 2016: The Directorate of Government Examination has released the results of the Tamil Nadu Plus Two (HSC) examination on May 16. The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination 2016 were conducted from March 4, 2016 to April 1, 2016. Over 8 lakh students had appeared for the exams.

This year’s toppers are Aarthi and Jaswanth, from Vidya Mandir school in Oothangarai, Krishnagiri district. Both secured the first rank by scoring a total of 1195.

About 8.3 lakh students appeared for Plus Two exam out of which the pass percentage of girls is 94.4 and boys is at 87.9.

This year, 4.19 lakh girls and 3.41 lakh boys appeared for the exams. While in 2015, the number of centums in Physics were 124, this year it fell to five. Similarly, in Mathematics too, the number of centums dropped from 9,710 to 3,361 this year.

In accountancy, 4,341 students scored a centum.

The results can be viewed on tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in or dge2.tn.nic.in. In 2015, the overall pass percentage was 90.5 percent.
