The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on August 8 postponed the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2025. SSC CGL 2025 exam, originally scheduled to start on August 13, will now begin in the first week of September. The decision follows a planned, rigorous evaluation of the exam platform and operational readiness. The revised schedule for CGL and other affected examinations will be announced shortly on the SSC website, the Commission said in a notification while announcing the exam postponement. The move comes amid disruptions in the ongoing Selection Posts and Phase XIII computer-based Examinations (CBE) held between July 24 and August 1, which saw technical and operational issues for certain candidates. About 55,000 candidates identified with data discrepancies will be given another chance to take their test on August 29. Communication to these affected candidates will be sent to their registered email IDs and mobile numbers. They will be allotted a centre from among the three cities they had originally preferred, on a best-effort basis, the Commission said. The SSC admit cards for these posts will be available for download from August 26. The Commission has clarified that the previous test taken by these candidates between July 24 and August 2 will not be considered, and they are advised to appear for the retest on August 29. SSC has also allowed candidates to edit their One Time Registration (OTR) details between August 14 and 31 for future applications. Candidates who wish to edit any field in their OTR are advised to make changes during the above period. Applications for subsequent exams will start from September 2025 and the candidates will not be permitted to edit OTR after August 31.
