Assam HSLC Result 2023 Declared: Overall pass percentage at 72.69%; toppers list released

Assam HSLC 10th Result 2023 OUT: The Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) today declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) 2023 board exams results. Students can now check their marks at the official websites –  sebaonline.org and resultassam.nic.in

The Assam Board has reported an overall pass percentage of 72.69 per cent. Hridam Thakuria from Sankardev Shishu Niketan, Dhekiajuli has achieved the first rank with a score of 596. The second rank is tied between four people: Ishrat Fariha from Nagaon district, Lucky Devi Choudhury from Nalbari, Manmita Sarma from Nalbari and Aditya Anupom Konwar from Charaideo who have all scored 593 marks.

Third rank is jointly achieved by Nilufer Rahman, Anindita Borah and Mriganka Bhattacharyya, who have all scored 592 marks.

In the 2023 exams, a total of 4,15,324 students appeared in SEBA HSLC exams, out of which 3,01,880 students cleared the exams. District-wise Chirang district has been declared as the best performing region with 88.68 per cent. Meanwhile, Dhubri recorded the lowest result with 63.35 per cent students passing the HSLC exams.

There are 20 children who have achieved the top 5 rank, and 61 students have featured in the top 10 merit list. Only 1 student scored 100 marks in Assamese; 1451 students got perfect score in Advanced Maths.

A total of 94913 candidates achieved the first division (46431 were boys and 48482 were girls), 148573 got second (71060 boys and 77513 girls), and 58394 students got the third division (25033 boys and 33361 girls). Unlike several other state and national boards, boys have outshined girls this time with an overall pass percentage of 74.71, in comparison to 70.96 per cent scored by girls.

Out of the 4,22,203 candidates who registered, total of 6879 candidates were marked absent, result of 14 candidates were withheld and 239 students were expelled.

This time, the overall pass percentage has seen improvement from last year’s 56.49 per cent. In 2022, the HSLC exams were conducted from March 15 and ended in March 31, in which a total of 4,19,887 students had registered for the Assam HSLC exams. A total of 4,05,582 students appeared for the class 10 exams, of which 2,17,012 were girls and 1,88,570 were boys.
