NTA GPAT, CMAT 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will start the online application form for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2020 and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2020 from November 1 – Friday. Interested candidates can apply at the official websites, nta.ac.in, ntacmat.nic.in, ntagpat.nic.in.
The registration process will be closed on November 30 evening. The admit cards are expected to be released on December 24, 2019. Both CMAT, GPAT exams will be conducted on January 24 and the result will be declared on February 3, 2020.
Last year, around 1 lakh candidates appeared for both the exams combined. Of the total, around 60,000 candidates appeared for CMAT examinations, and 40,000 candidates appeared for GPAT.
Both GPAT and CMAT are computer-based tests for the duration of three hours consisting of a total of 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). For every correct answer, candidates are awarded four marks and for each wrong answer, one mark is deducted. Those who clear the exam will get admission to courses in respective fields. Each college has its own merit list.
In GPAT 2019, Ankita Nitin Yawalkar secured the top position. Of the total 40649 students who have appeared for the entrance exam to pharma courses, 22604 are female candidates while 18044 are male.
A total of 64,582 candidates have registered for the exam of which 34,585 were males and 29,997 were females. Sharma Navanshu Surendra topped the CMAT exam in 2019.
Earlier, the exam was conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). This is the second time the NTA will be responsible for conducting the tests and delivering the results for the same.
