NEET UG 2024 Counselling: The NEET UG counselling for admission to 2024 programmes is deferred till further notice. The all-India quota (AIQ) seat counselling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 was scheduled to start on July 6. However, the counselling committees including the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) are yet to announce an update on the NEET UG counselling 2024 dates.

While NEET pleas are to be heard on July 8, the Supreme Court had earlier refused to delay the NEET UG counselling.

The NEET UG counselling is held in multiple rounds with stray vacancy rounds and mop-up rounds. Students who qualified the medical entrance test will be able to register for the NEET UG counselling.

The NEET UG cut-off this year for the UR/ EWS category candidates is 720-164. For the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward class candidates, the NEET UG 2024 cut-off is 163-129 and among the SC, ST and OBC-PH candidates, the cut off is 145-129 this year.

Students will have to first register and pay the fees against the NEET UG 2024 counselling, fill the choices and lock them, upload documents and report to the allotted institute in person.

Last year, the registration for the first round of NEET UG counselling began on July 20.

NEET UG counselling under the 15 per cent AIQ includes seats at government colleges, central and deemed universities, seats reserved for children of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.
