(Express Photo by Deepak Joshi /Representaive Image)Meghalaya MBOSE Board Exams 2026: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has released the schedule for the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. As per the announcement, the Class 10 exams will take place from January 30 to February 11, while the Class 12 exams will be conducted from February 18 to March 13.
MBOSE has also stated that the timetable is subject to change in case of any unforeseen circumstances or significant announcements from the state or central government that coincide with the scheduled exam dates.

According to the notification, the exams will be held from 10 am to 1 pm. However, theory papers for vocational subjects will be conducted over a shorter duration, from 10 am to 11 am.
The list of approved optional subjects includes regional languages such as Garo, Khasi, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Urdu, and Mizo 2. In addition, students can opt for vocational subjects aimed at skill development and career readiness. These vocational options comprise Beauty and Wellness, Tourism, Health Care, Electronics, Agriculture, ITES (Information Technology Enabled Services), Apparels, Plumbing, Food Processing, Telecom, Banking, and Automobile Repair.
Students will be permitted to enter the examination halls starting at 9:30 am, allowing a 30-minute window before the commencement of the exam. All candidates must carry their hall ticket and student ID card for identity verification.
As part of the curriculum, students can select from a range of Modern Indian Languages (MIL), which include Khasi, Garo, Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Nepali, and Mizo.

In addition to MIL, students may opt for elective subjects such as English, Khasi, Garo, Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Nepali, and Mizo, allowing for greater academic flexibility and alignment with individual interests and linguistic backgrounds.
To further enhance career readiness and practical skills, MBOSE also offers a variety of vocational subjects. These include Tourism and Hospitality, IT/ITES (Information Technology Enabled Services), Electronics and Hardware, Health Care, Agriculture, Beauty and Wellness, and Apparel.
To facilitate a smooth start, invigilators will distribute the question papers at 9:45 am, followed by the answer scripts at 9:50 am. This arrangement provides students with a 10-minute reading period before they begin writing their responses.
