The Department of Computer Engineering at the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) will organise a three-week short-term training programme (STTP) on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in hybrid mode. Candidates who have done their diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD with math background are eligible for the course.
A total of 130 seats are available for the course out of which 80 students will be taken for offline classes on the first come first served (FSFS) basis and 50 students will be admitted online. The short-term training programme for 50-hour duration will start from July 1 to 19.
There will be theory classes of 20 hours duration and hands-on practical training for 30 hours in the short-term training programme. It will comprise five modules, namely, the introduction of AI and python basics, applied data science with python, machine learning algorithms, deep learning for computer vision with keras and tensorflow and deep learning for NLP with keras and tensorflow.
Experts from JMI and other reputed central/foreign universities, IITs, NIITs, IIITs as well as industry will be the resource person for the course.
JMI and Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) is also inviting applications from students who are interested in learning the Urdu language. The one-year course is for students who have Hindi or English medium. Admissions are open throughout the year. Interested candidates can apply through the official website — jmi.ac.in.
