Crediting his family for making studies fun, 17-year-old, Aadit Bhagade, who bagged the All India Rank-14 in the JEE Mains — the results for which were declared Saturday — has now set his eyes on JEE Advanced to get into the prestigious IIT league. A student of Navrachana Higher Secondary School in Vadodara’s Sama, Bhagade credits his JEE mains milestone to his parents, teachers and friends.
“I spent the last two years preparing for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. I aimed to study for six hours after returning home on school days and about ten hours on holidays,” Bhagade told The Indian Express.
“I tried to analyse topics thoroughly and as deeply as I could in order to have a better understanding of the subjects that were taught. I used to discuss mock papers with my friends and we used to solve them together. Many of my friends have also scored ranks in the top 1000,” he said.

The son of noted city physician Dr Prakash Bhagade and gynaecologist Dr Dilita Bhagade, Aadit says that the ‘mental endurance’ to put in long hours into preparations came from the fact that his mother made studying fun.
“My entire family is career oriented and right from the start. My mother used to teach me at home and put in a lot of effort… She made me love study time,” he said.
“My entire family, teachers and friends have been extremely supportive and always told me, ‘Do your best the results will come’. Whenever I used to feel fatigued from studying, I played a sport like cricket or table tennis with my parents,” he said further.
Aadit added that he has “stayed away from social media”, only restricting the use of a phone to communicate with family. “Currently, my focus is on JEE Advanced as I aim to get into IIT and my first choice will be IIT Bombay,” he added.
