JoSAA Counselling 2023: Registration process begins today; check schedule, process

JoSAA or the Joint Seat Allocation Authority was set up by the Ministry of Education to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admission to 118 institutions including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 38-other technical Institutes funded fully or partially by central or state government (other-GFTIs)

Once the JEE Advanced results are declared, students have to undergo counselling conducted by JoSAA and the partnering NIT. Students can register on the official website— josaa.nic.in.

The JoSAA 2023 registration process will begin on June 19 at 10 am. Candidates have to register and fill their choices for academic programmes. Candidates can fill their choices till 5 pm of June 28.

Candidates who will qualify for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) can fill their AAT-specific choices from June 24, after AAT 2023 results are declared.

Step 1: Visit the official website— josaa.nic.in

Step 2: Click on registration link given on the website

Step 3: Enter your credentials such as JEE Main application number and date of birth

Step 4: Complete the choice filing process

Step 5: Review and lock the filled-in choices

Once the candidates have filled their choices, the mock seat allocation- 1 list will be displayed on June 25 at 11:30 am, based on the choices filled by the candidates till June 24, 8 pm.

The mock seat allocation-2 list will be displayed on June 27 at 10 am, based on the choices filled in by the candidates till 5 pm of June 26.

Candidate registration and choice filling for academic programmes under JoSAA 2023 will end on June 28 at 5 pm

Once the choice filling ends, reconciliation of data, verification, and validation of allocated seats will be done on June 29. The first seat allocation round will begin from June 30 at 10 am and conclude on July 5 at 5 pm. Similarly, round 2 will begin from 5 pm of July 6 to 5 pm of July 11.

Candidates can withdraw or exit from the seat allocation process from 10 am of July 7 to 5 pm of July 10. Queries will be addressed till 5 pm of July 11.

Round 3 of the seat allocation process will begin from July 12, 5 pm and conclude at 5 pm on July 14. The withdrawal or exit is available from 10 am of July 13 till 5 pm of July 14. Queries will be responded to till 5 pm of July 15.

The fourth round is from 5 pm of July 16 to 5 pm of July 20. Round 5 from 5 pm of July 21 till 5 pm of July 25. Round 5 is last round for seat withdrawal or exit option for IITs

Round 6 of seat allocation is the final round of seat allocation for IITs. It will begin from 8 pm of July 26 and conclude on 8 pm of July 28.

The JoSAA 2023 counselling for remaining rounds will end on 5 pm of July 31. The schedule is available on the official website— josaa.nic.in.
