Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University (File photo)The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has opened the application window for a new batch of short-term skill-based courses on artificial intelligence and cyber security. The offline programmes are being offered under the university’s ongoing initiatives to support skill development among youth, aspiring entrepreneurs and job seekers, according to an official statement.
The courses are being delivered through the Smart Academy for Digital Technologies and Entrepreneurship at JMI, which has been set up in collaboration with the Tech Mahindra Foundation. The academy offers certificate-level programmes designed to build digital capabilities and entrepreneurial skills among learners.
According to an official statement, the Smart Academy combines classroom-based learning with applied training to help participants prepare for employment in digital roles or to pursue self-employment and startup opportunities. The programmes are conducted in offline mode and include guidance from subject experts along with exposure to industry practices.
The current set of short-term courses includes Digital Entrepreneurship, UI/UX Design, Advanced Digital Marketing, and AI-Driven Data Analysis. Each programme has a duration of three months and is open to candidates who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination.
The Digital Entrepreneurship course has been priced at Rs 3,050, while the UI/UX Design programme carries a fee of Rs 12,600. The Advanced Digital Marketing and AI-Driven Data Analysis courses are each priced at Rs 10,500, according to details shared by the university.

According to an official statement, the programmes are intended to help learners access opportunities in areas such as digital media, design, data analysis and technology-enabled services.
The university said the initiative also seeks to encourage innovation and self-reliance by enabling participants to develop skills relevant to India’s growing digital and startup ecosystem.
