Bar ends protest after demands met; work at HC to resume tomorrow

The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association on Thursday announced the resumption of court work from December 19 after its demands were accepted by the authorities.

In a notice issued by honorary secretary Gagandeep Jammu, the Bar Association said officials of CIA-1, Hisar, had been added as accused in the FIR, and relevant sections of law, including provisions of the Arms Act, had been incorporated.

The association further stated that the concerned SHO had been transferred to the Police Lines and that departmental proceedings had been initiated against him by the competent authority.

“With all the demands raised by the association having been fulfilled, the issue stands resolved and work shall resume tomorrow,” the notice said.
