A total of 2.88 lakh (2,88,928) students cleared the class 10 exam successfully this year with a record pass percentage of 75.01 per cent, highest in seven years. Last year, a total of 70.81 per cent students cleared the exam successfully, in 2018 it was 59.56 per cent, while 67.83 per cent in 2017. Around 3.8 lakh students had appeared in the class 10 exam this year which was held between February 11 and 28.

According to the board, the evaluation process was completed last month after it was hampered on several occasions due to lockdown. Once released, the students can check the results through the websites- jacresults.com, jac.jharkhand.gov.in.

A total of 75.88 per cent boys cleared the class 10 exam successfully, while the pass percentage of girls touched at 74.25 per cent. Out of 1.8 lakh (1,80,532) male students who appeared in the exam, 1.37 lakh (1,37,003) cleared the exam successfully, while 1.51 lakh (1,51,925) female students passed in the secondary exam out of 2.04 lakh (2,04,612) appeared.

The Jharkhand Board has released the results for class 9 and 11 earlier this month. In JAC class 11 result, of the 3,39,061 students as many as 95.53 per cent had cleared the exam. For JAC class 9 result, of over 4.22 lakh students appeared in the examination, as many as 97.42 per cent cleared it.
Students need to take a print out of the scorecard available online. This will act as a provisional mark sheet while the official one will be released by the school later.

As per the minimum marks criteria, students need to obtain a minimum of 30 percent marks to be declared passed in the matric examination. Thus, at least 30 marks out of 100 and an aggregate of 150 marks in total is needed to be declared pass.

This year, a total of 4,22,789 students had appeared for the exam of which 4,17,030 students appeared for the Jharkhand Board class 9 exam and 4,06,293 students have cleared the exam.
A total of 3,39,061 had appeared for the exam of which 3,23,924 have passed it. A pass percentage of 95.53 per cent has been observed in JAC class 11 result. Among districts, Bokaro has been the top performer with 97.47 per cent of students from the area clearing the exam. A close second was Simdega with 97.43 as the passing percent. Hazaribagh, Kodarma, and Lohardaga got the third, fourth, and fifth spot with a passing percentage of 97.08, 96.92, 96.86 per cent, respectively
