Nidhhi Agerwal, who is starring with Prabhas in the upcoming The Raja Saab, was mobbed by fans on Wednesday night following the launch of the song “Sahana Sahana” from the film at Hyderabad’s Lulu Mall. The event turned chaotic, with Nidhhi seen struggling to reach her car as fans stormed the area in an attempt to approach the actor and take selfies with her. The song launch witnessed a massive turnout and was also attended by director Maruthi.

A video of Nidhhi getting mobbed has since gone viral online, triggering outrage as the actor appeared visibly distressed and uncomfortable while fans pushed past security guards to get close to her. In the clip, she is seen holding on to her dupatta as her bodyguards are seen jostling and pushing fans aside as they helped her make way to the car. After getting inside the vehicle, Nidhhi is seen adjusting her clothes and appears visibly upset and shaken by the incident.

Fans reacted strongly to Nidhhi’s unsettling experience at the song launch of Prabhas’ film. One fan wrote, “This is so sad, why isn’t she given proper security? Also, there was a high chance of wardrobe malfunction. Such uncivilised fans.” Another comment called the behaviour of fans “Disgusting.” A third fan wrote, “This so scary! She looks horrified. Are the producers and Prabhas dumb?? When it’s a huge event, the security should be tight.”

The Telugu-language horror-comedy The Raja Saab sees Prabhas in a never-before-seen avatar. Known largely for his action-packed roles, the actor will be seen exploring a different genre with this horror-comedy. The film is directed by Maruthi, who is known for movies such as Ee Rojullo, Bus Stop, Babu Bangaram, and Shailaja Reddy Alludu. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal in key roles, along with Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani in pivotal parts.

Earlier in September, the makers unveiled the trailer of The Raja Saab, which showcased multiple shades of Prabhas’ character. The trailer hinted at his life being a rollercoaster journey, one that takes him through various dangerous paths.

The Raja Saab is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on January 9, 2026, during the Pongal season.
