The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) is one of India’s most prestigious and renowned engineering and technology institutions. Established in 1959, with technical and academic assistance from the Government of Germany, it is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

On the other hand for the Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings 2020, it ranked in bandwidth of 601–800.
