IISER IAT 2024 exam today, admit card details, guidelines

IISER IAT 2024 will be conducted on June 9 for admission to the four-year BS, and five-year BS-MS dual degree programmes at IISERs. The exam will be held as a computer-based test.

IISER IAT 2024: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) on June 9 will be conducting the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2024. The exam will be held as a computer-based test. The exam will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm. 

IISER IAT 2024 scores will be used for admission to the five-year BS-MS (dual degree) and four-year BS degree programmes at IISER Berhampur, IISER Bhopal, IISER Kolkata, IISER Mohali, IISER Pune, IISER Thiruvananthapuram, and IISER Tirupati. 

IAT 2024 will be conducted as a computer-based test at multiple centers throughout India. This aptitude test will comprise 60 questions, with 15 questions allocated to each subject area – biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics.

All questions will be of the multiple-choice type, with only one correct answer per question. The exam will be of three hours’ duration. While marking a correct answer will fetch the candidates four marks, incorrect answers will lead to a negative mark of one. The total mark for IAT 2024 is 240.

IISER 2024 IAT exam guidelines

— Candidates are only allowed to carry hall tickets, original photo ID card, transparent water bottle, and ball pen in exam hall. The official website — iiseradmission.in has made the IISER IAT admit card link available.

— The hall ticket must be printed on A4 size paper from a laser printer with a legible student photograph and signature. Candidate’s photograph should be pasted at the designated field.

—  Candidates must carry a photo identification card — aadhar card,  voter ID, passport, pan card, driving license, photo pasted nationalized bank passbook, photo pasted 10th/12th marksheet or certificate or admit card can also be presented along with hall ticket. The ID proof must have candidate’s photograph and signature.

—  Candidates need to carry the filled-up  self-declaration provided along the hall ticket.

— Candidates are advised to not wear any jewelry or metallic items inside the exam hall. Additionally, electronic gadget are not allowed inside exam hall (such as mobile phone, calculator,smart watch etc)

— Candidates must report to the exam center at 7 am. No candidates will be allowed to enter the exam hall after 8.30 am.

— PwD candidates will be provided the facility of priority entry in the exam hall.

—  Candidates should visit the exam center prior to a day before the exam, to avoid the hassle on exam day.

—  Candidates will be provided with rough pad or sheets and an online non-programmable scientific calculator in the exam hall, which need to be returned after the exam.

— Candidates must be aware that the original copy of hall ticket, xerox copy of photo ID card will be collected in the exam hall. They are advised to have an additional copy of hall ticket for further reference.

—  Candidates’ friends and relatives will not be allowed inside the exam hall.

— Candidates are required to make their own travel and stay arrangements.

— Candidates’ request to change exam centre will not be approved.

Only some candidates appearing in IAT 2024 will be awarded a rank. Further, getting a rank does not guarantee an offer or admission to an IISER.
