The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has issued fresh admit cards for candidates appearing for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. IISc Bangalore has notified changes in exam centres for some students. The admit card may be used as a curfew pass. A printed copy of the Haldwani centre admit card or the new Bareilly centre admit card shown on mobile phone will be accepted for entry to the centre.
As per the official notification, the candidates who were enrolled to appear for GATE 2024 sessions S5 and S6 on February, 10 and 11 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand have now been assigned new exam centres in Bareilly.
This protocol will be followed for students assigned to three exam centres, namely: iON Digital Zone iDZ Teenpani (centre code 8406), iON Digital Zone iDZ Charayal (centre code 8407), and Swami Vivekanand College of Management and Technology (centre code 8408), iDZ Teenpani and iDZ Charayal.
The students will have to show their GATE admit cards on mobile phones for entry to the centres at Bareilly. Additional buses have also been arranged for candidates in Haldwani to reach Bareilly. The administering body has also shared helpline numbers to assist candidates in commuting to the exam centres. These are: 01332-284531/8273020225.
UPDATE on transport from Haldwani to Bareilly:
Additional buses have been arranged for session S6 candidates in Haldwani, to reach Bareilly.
Buses will depart from Tikonia Chauraha, Haldwani at 10.00 AM on 10th Feb 2024.

This announcement was made after a few students reached out to IISc Bangalore on social media platform, X. “We are aware of the situation at Haldwani. We are closely working with the authorities and will communicate the next steps to the candidates,” GATE 2024 officials reverted through their official X account.
GATE 2024 is being conducted over the weekends between February 3 and 11, 2024. The exams will be held in two sessions – forenoon and afternoon. The forenoon session exams will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon session exams will be conducted between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
