This year, class 12 students of Chhattisgarh appeared for the board examinations from their homes. All students were provided with question papers and answer sheets at the examination centres and were instructed to submit the same within the next 5 days of receiving the question paper. Students received their question papers and answer sheets from June 1 to June 5 for their chosen subjects.

The handwritten answer sheets were to be submitted by students physically at their respective exam centres, where they also had to mark attendance while submitting the answer sheet. Chhattisgarh was one of the few states that conducted class 12 examinations despite the pandemic.
Last year, the overall passing percentage for class 12 was 70.69 per cent. Over 2.66 lakh students registered for class 12 exams. The pass percentage for girls stood at 82.02 per cent while for boys it was 74.70 per cent.

When asked about the impact of increased pass percentage on college admission and undergraduate seats, Minister Premsai Singh Tekam said that there are enough seats for students at UG level and students will not face any problems. "At least we conducted exams. CBSE is passing everyone without exams," the minister said while announcing the results.

This year, the overall pass percentage in CGBSE Class 12 results has been recorded to be 97.43 per cent. A total of 98.43 per cent girls and 96.69 per cent boys have cleared the exam. A total of 2,77,563 students had passed Chhattisgarh Board CGBSE Class 12 in 2020, taking the overall pass percentage at 70.69 per cent.
A tota of 2,71,155 candidates have got first division and 5,570 students have got second division. A total of 79 candidates have found spots in the third division and 13 candidates have managed to just pass the CGBSE class 12 examinations.

A total of 2,77,563 students had passed Chhattisgarh Board CGBSE Class 12 in 2020, taking the overall pass percentage at 70.69 per cent. A total of 1,40,221 girl students passed scoring 82.02 passing percentage while 1,29,315 boys appeared and scored 74.70 pass percentage. In 2020, the class 12 topper was Tikesh Vaishnav with 97.80 per cent followed by Shriya Agarwal (97%) and Tanu Yadav (96.06%).
Students to secure at least 33 per cent marks to pass the exam. Students who would be failing in a test or two will have to follow improvement instructions as per the guidelines released by the board.
Chhattisgarh was one of the few states that conducted class 12 examinations despite the pandemic. Initially, the class 12 examinations were scheduled to start on May 3 and continue till May 24. The exams were postponed due to the pandemic and were conducted in June. Read more.

The overall passing percentage for the class 10 results were recorded to be 73.62 and 78.59 per cent for class 12. The state recorded the best passing percentage in 2020 in three years in both class 10 and 12 results. In 2019, the passing percentage of class 10 students was recorded to be 68.20 and it was 68.04 in 2018. For class 12, the percentage stood at 78.43 and 77.00 in 2019 and 2018, respectively.
