Chhattisgarh Board Exam 2 Dates 2025 Out: Application for CGBSE Class 10, 12 second exam from May 20

According to the official notification issued by CGBSE, the application window for the second main examination for High School and Higher Secondary students will open on May 20, 2025. Applications can be submitted without a late fee until June 10, 2025.

Chhattisgarh Board Exam 2 Dates 2025 Out: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Raipur, has announced the schedule for its second main board examination for Class 10 and Class 12 students. According to the official notification issued by CGBSE, the application window for the second main examination for High School and Higher Secondary students will open on May 20, 2025.

Applications can be submitted without a late fee until June 10, 2025. Those applying after this date will need to pay additional fees — with a late fee applicable from June 11 to June 20, and a special late fee for applications submitted between June 21 and June 30, 2025.

“All students registered in the first main examination can apply for the second main examination conducted by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Raipur,” the board said in its statement. It further clarified that regular students must submit their examination forms through their respective schools, while students under the Credit Scheme are required to apply through their forwarding institutions.

The Chhattisgarh Board held the Class 12 board exams between March 1 and March 28 and the Class 10 board exams took place from March 3 to March 24. The results of both classes were announced on May 7. The total pass percentage in CGBSE Class 10 result 2025 is 76.53 percent and in Class 12, it is 81.87 per cent.

This move aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which recommends conducting two main board examinations in a single academic year to provide students with additional opportunities for academic improvement.

As per the policy, students who appeared in the first main exam, regardless of whether they passed, failed, or are seeking to enhance their scores, are eligible to apply for the second main examination. This second opportunity also serves as a platform for supplementary and opportunity students.
