The pending exams for Class 12 in CBSE-affiliated schools included 12 core subjects — Business Studies, Geography, Hindi (Core), Hindi (Elective), Home Science, Sociology, Computer Science (Old), Computer Science (New), Information Practice (Old), Information Practice (New), Information Technology and Bio-Technology.
Meanwhile, the CISCE exams scheduled to be held in July has also been canceled. CISCE stated that it will provide students with an option to appear for the exams at a later date, which is yet to be announced. Unlike CBSE, the option will also be available to class 10 students. The CISCE also mentioned that it will follow a different form of assessment then that of CBSE.
Students, parents and school principals expressed relief over the CBSE’s decision to not conduct the remaining Class X and XII board examinations between July 1 and 15.
