Dhurandhar breaks 5 box office records: It’s Ranveer Singh’s second highest grosser; beats Pushpa 2, Chhaava, Stree 2

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Sunday, announcing that Dhurandhar has surpassed the Hindi dubbed version of Sukumar’s Telugu crime thriller Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, in its second Saturday earnings of Rs 46.50 crore. It also edged past Laxman Utekar’s period action drama Chhaava (Rs 44.10 crore), starring Vicky Kaushal.

Dhurandhar races ahead of Animal 2, Stree 2

The other blockbusters that Dhurandhar has surpassed in its second Saturday domestic box office earnings include Amar Kaushik’s horror comedy Stree 2 (Rs 33.80 crore), starring Rajkummar Rao; Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 family crime drama Animal (Rs 32.47 crore), starring Ranbir Kapoor; Anil Sharma’s 2023 action drama Gadar 2 (Rs 31.07 crore), starring Sunny Deol; Atlee’s crime thriller Jawan (Rs 30.10 crore), starring Shah Rukh Khan; Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara (Rs 27 crore), starring Ahan Panday, which released earlier this year; the Hindi dubbed version of SS Rajamouli’s 2017 Telugu epic fantasy Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 26.50 crore), starring Prabhas; and Vivek Agnihotri’s 2022 political drama The Kashmir Files (Rs 24.80 crore).

Dhurandhar is 3rd Hindi film of 2025 to enter Rs 300 cr club

As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar has added another Rs 13.95 crore to its total domestic box office collection on its second Sunday already. Thus, it’s now earned Rs 306.70 crore within 10 days. Dhurandhar has now become the third Hindi film of 2025 to enter the Rs 300 crore club domestically. It’s also the quickest one to achieve that feat, along with Chhaava (which also crossed Rs 300 crore in 10 days), and beating Saiyaara (which crossed Rs 300 crore in 17 days).

Dhurandhar is Ranveer Singh’s second highest grosser

Dhurandhar has also become Ranveer Singh’s second highest grosser in his 20-year acting career, beating the lifetime domestic box office earnings of Rohit Shetty’s 2018 cop drama Simmba (Rs 240.30 crore), and next only to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2018 period drama Padmaavat (Rs 400 crore).

Co-produced by Aditya Dhar of Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019)-fame and Jio Studios, the film boasts of an ensemble cast, also including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun.
