With his equity at an all-time low,Akshay Kumar has been signing action films back-to-back. The recent venture that he has signed on,it is heard,is A R Murgadoss second Hindi film,a remake of the Tamil film,Thuppakki. The director,who remade Ghajini with Aamir Khan and revived the trend of action genre in Bollywood,has this time,chosen Kumar for the project. The actor,however,will not begin working on the movie before the year end as he has his hands full with Neeraj Pandeys heist movie,followed by the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. But when he does,Kumar will yet again be paired with his popular co-star,Katrina Kaif.

He may be busy with his international projects,music band and tours,but AR Rahman always makes time for his mentor and dear friend,Mani Ratnam. The duo,that is credited with giving the Indian audiences some enthralling film music through Roja,Dil Se,Saathiya and Raavan,is busy with its next project. Rahman has already begun work on Ratnams upcoming directorial venture,the Tamil film,Kadal,which is currently being filmed. The two,in fact,stepped out of the confines of the studio to brainstorm and took a boat ride together. The otherwise-reticent music composer posted a photo of the same on Twitter,and said,Brainstorming with Mani Ratnam in the middle of the sea,down in the south of India.
