Training for govt staff

The state has launched an ambitious training policy for nine lakh government employees and a sectoral allocation has been planned for the next five years,said Sanjay Chahande,director-general,Yashwantrao Chavan Academy for Development and Administration.

The state has launched an ambitious training policy for nine lakh government employees and a sectoral allocation has been planned for the next five years,said Sanjay Chahande,director-general,Yashwantrao Chavan Academy for Development and Administration (Yashada). Key features include autonomy for training institutes on the lines of Yashada,involving employees to evaluate government schemes and sending them on foreign trips. Nitin Khade,deputy director-general,Yashada,in charge of the State Training and Planning Agency,said the initiative would allow employees to update themselves. Penal action like no increment or promotion,will follow later for employees not participating.
