State transport boady turns 62

As the Deccan Queen completed 80 years of its service on Tuesday,the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation Limited (MSRTC) also had a reason to cheer as its service completed 62 years of its existence on Tuesday.

The MSRTC staff in Pune celebrated the birthday with pomp at the Swargate bus stand in a novel way: by cutting the cake at the hands of two senior passengers travelling to two different destinations from Pune. One was Subhash Kaulgud from Sangli,while the other was Rangubai Kumbhar from Shirval.

The divisional controller of the MSRTC in Pune Shivaji Sonawane said,“It was a proud moment for the MSRTC staff.
