For all theatre lovers here is a treat in the offing. The Swatantra Theatre will be staging a Hindi play entitled Zindagi Ke Rang at the Babasaheb Ambedkar Sanskrutik Bhavan today.

The play is an interesting combination of seven short stories,each of which explores a different facet of the human mind. The themes for the stories are taken from all walks of society,which include a doctor pacifying a paranoid patient to an open- minded father who wants his son to experience each and every moment of his life. The play is directed by Abhijeet Choudhary and Dhanashree Heblikar,and is an adaptation of a story by famed Russian storywriter Anton Chekov. Heblikar says,“The seven short stories mainly consist of various shades of the thoughts that run through the human mind along with a sprinkle of humour in them. The story depicts the complex facet of the writer in the play .The writer’s conflict at penning down his experiences as short stories,itself is an organic story in the play.”
