Short and serious
A senior citizen battling loneliness and his search for meaning of life in these latter years is the storyline of city based Orthodontist and filmmaker Dr Swaroop Savanur’s third short film ODH that is set to be screened in the city. The film has actor Mohan Agashe in the main role and has been selected for competition at the World Cinema Film Festival and the 11th Madhurai International Film Festival. ODH will be screened at NFAI tomorrow at 4 pm as part of three short films organised by Aashay Film Club.

Teaching expressions
The teachers of Abhinav Kala Mahawidyalaya, Arvind Kolapkar,Satish Kale,Gajraj Chavan and Jitendra Gadekar have come together for an exhibition of paintings in the city. The artists are displaying their works at Balgandharva Kala Dalan,which consists of around 70 paintings. “My work focuses on the Adivasi art. The paintings have tribals and depict their festivities and daily routine,” says Chavan,principal of Abhinav Kala Mahawidyalaya. Lecturers of Fine Arts,they have expertise in commerical art,graphics,drawing and so on,and are exhibiting their work together for the first time.

Designer wear
Get inked this weekend by the globally acclaimed tattoo artiste PIWI who is in the city at Hair Bar. Piwi from South Germany was a graffiti artist before being fascinated with tattoos and has been tattooing for 12 years now. The artiste will be in the city from March 12 to 28,at the Hair Bar,at Kalyani Nagar.
