The Max Mueller Bhavan will be featuring the movie Emma Glück,directed by Sven Taddicken on a Rooftop Movie Night event on October 23 at 6.30 pm. The movie is about a boy Max who does not have long to live and wants to spend his last few days far away. When he winds up on the farm of the headstrong pig breeder Emma after an accident,he learns that real happiness is closer than he thought.

A ‘strained’ effort
The Indian Music Academy,a leading cultural body of India,which works diligently to preserve Indian music and culture,is initiating India’s first national complete Indian Music Talent Hunt titled IDEA JALSA- Music For the Soul. The event aims to tap deserving talents across India in the genres such as Indian Classical – Hindustani and Carnatic (Vocal and Instrumental),Folk,Ghazal,Bhajan,Sufi and Qawwali,give artistes a platform to showcase their talent in the best possible manner and ready the next generation of Indian music listeners across India and the world. What sets this national talent hunt apart is that it focuses on nurturing talent in all forms of Indian music that will be judged purely on the merit of one’s talent. The mega finale of the event will be held in Mumbai on December 11 and 12 2009.
