Smell bound
Award-winning Marathi film,Gandha was premiered at City Pride Kothrud on Friday. A first-of-its kind combination of three stories in one film,fragrance is the common thread that binds the scripts together. Present on the occasion were- Sachin Kundalkar along with producers- Pritam Bhandari,Rajesh Goyal and Sandeep Kankariya along with Milind Soman and other members of the cast. The chief guest for the function was director Anurag Kashyap. “I am a great fan of Marathi films and it is the amalgamation of commercial and parallel cinema that one can see in Gandha,” says Kashyap adding,“If I get a good director,I would love to venture into Marathi film production.”

Having promised to pound Pune no matter what the weather was like,DJs Pearl and Nikhil Chinapa hit one of the city’s most popular hangouts – Gaia,last night to play a storming session of pure house and progressive music. It had been awhile since Pune had heard Pearl perform and the DJ admitted to having a massive liking for the city’s clubbing crowds so Pearl was back with a bang and so was Nikhil Chinappa whose company to the DJ set the ball rolling.Funky sounds of UK house and distinct flavours of Latin infused Iberican sounds of Ibiza beach bars had the audiences craving for more.Come December party season Pearl and Chinapa will soon be seen spinning their magic on the sun-kissed beaches of Goa.
