Actor Dharmendra to give away Pune’s Pride awards

Veteran actor Dharmendra will give away the Pune’s Pride awards at a function at Residency Club on Sunday. Instituted in 1992 by the Residency Club,the annual awards are given away to acknowledge and felicitate the contributions made by eminent citizens of Pune to the society. Ajay Shirke,Pramod Chaudhari,Dr Vidya Yerawdekar are among the the awardees this year. has noted actor Dharmendra who will give away the Awards.

Rajasthani culture at food festival

Students wearing Rajasthani costumes,Rajsthani music and Dance,flock of camels,dolls caught attentions of people during the food festival “Avokavo” organised by the students of DrAravind Telang Institute of Hotel Management,Shahunagar,Chinchwad,last week. Principal Prof Ajaykumar Rai Jaikannan P,senior manager of Hotel Sayaji,Valchand Sancheti,president of Walchand Institute,Mohini Telang,Dr Milind Telang,Javahar Bothra,Vasant Pawar,V B Jawalkar,S D Agarwal,were among those present.

Every student was in Rajasthani costume only.

As a part of event,students played music,danced on the songs like Dhol Baje,Rangeela Maro,Dhol Na etc based this culture. Indian idol fame Sandeep Ubale presented hindi songs. The food festival had tongue-tickling Rajasthani delicacies like Dal Bhati,Jaipuri Paneer,Alu Chatniwala,Murg Banjara and Meva Pulav.
