India,Denmark,Nepal and Belarus progressed to the semi-finals of the Rollball World Cup after securing easy wins in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. All the matches were lop-sided affairs.
The first match,between India and Belgium,saw the hosts demolishing their opponents 12-3 after leading 6-1 at half time. Aditya Ganeshwade scored five goals and Nikhil Oswal scored three goals for India. In the second match,Denmark beat UAE 6-2 after leading 2-0 at half time. The third match saw Nepal beating Great Britain 5-1,after leading 3-1 at half time. In the fourth match,Belarus trounced Uganda 9-1,after leading 3-0 at half time,with Mimin Searhei scoring five goals and Pashuk Slava pitching in with a hattrick.
The semifinals,which will be held on Friday,will see India pitted against Nepal,while Denmark will take on Belarus. The final and the third-place match will also take place on Friday.
