He has been touted as The hottest producer around by Tiësto and also as The next big thing to hit trance by DJ Magazine and a conversation with the effervescent DJ Seid Van Riel conveys the verity of these claims in simple lucid terms. Its been almost 19 long years since I have been scratching on the turntables to create new forms of music, laughs Riel. Starting out in 1991 Riel quickly to become one of the more popular DJs in Holland. His inspiration for music came at age 10 when he first heard Acid House permeating through the walls of his room from a neighbours apartment.
It was one of the best things that happened to me as a musician. The ability to sit up and take notice of something new like this was huge for me. Although I began as a DJ I have now graduated to becoming a producer too, he says.
So what does he feel about the trance music scene here,in India? I think things are really changing here and Indians are always ready to absorb anything new. That alone is the best part about playing hereand something that I will be looking forward to,time and again, he says before signing off.
