Winter has taken a short break it seems with minimum temperature rising 4 degrees above normal in the last two days. The situation will remain the same and there will be no dip in temperature for the next two days.

On Friday, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 15.1 degree Celsius,4 above normal. “There is a trough of low pressure over the Arabian Sea due to which weather has been cloudy for two days,” said Medha Khole, director of weather section of IMD,Pune.

“Due to the low pressure area humidity has increased and that is the reason for increase in the night temperature. Moreover,Northerly winds that bring cold to this part have been facing hindrance by south-easterlies for last two days,” she said. According to Khole, the situation will remain same for two more days after which a slight dip in temperature is expected. “Though minimum temperature has increased, maximum temperature is normal at 30 degrees,” she said.
