Pardeshi revises PMPML fare structure

The PMPML on Friday decided to rationalise the fare structure by keeping it in multiples of five against the in between fares that led to frequent quarrels between passengers and conductor due to lack of change.

“The PMPML board of directors have decided the minimum fare to be Rs 5 and as per kilometres travelled the fares will be multiples of five as such Rs 10,15,20,25,30 and 35,” said Shrikar Pardeshi,acting managing director of PMPML.

The PMPML Pravasi Manch welcomed the move saying it would help the public transport company to earn additional Rs 3 lakh every day. “The PMPML should also start issuing Rs 5 change coupon through e-ticket machine for further convenience of passengers,” said Jugal Rathi member of the Manch.
