Mid-week Blues

Pune-based blues band Smokestack will perform at Swig Bar and Eatery for its latest gig titled “The Blues Calling… And Everything Else In Between!” Band members Anoop Kumar,Micheal Thompson,Vishal Gore,Shreyas Iyengar and Vidula Kumar say they believe in broadening their music approach by including folk and worldwide rhythmic influences. The event starts at 9 pm tonight.

History Lessons

Fifty women participated in a heritage walk conducted by Mahalaxmi Mahila Mandal at Raviwar Peth recently. Covering an area of 500 square feet,the walk focussed on the archaeological history of the area. Participants in the age-group of 15-65 years visited Sri Lakshmi Narayan market,Sri Lakshmi Narayan temple and Subhan Shah Dargah,among other places.
