Italian thin crust pizzas,pies,soups,sandwiches,mojitos,smoothies and more will be on the menu at Krusty,a new restaurant launched at Kothrud by Indulgence Restaurants. The restaurant combines the dining menu with a patisserie menu comprising items such as artisan breads,muffins and cakes,making for a novel casual dining experience. It has been started by Rohhan Joshi and Vidhiya Joshi,near the Joshi Railway Museum in Kothrud

Starry Affair

The Coffee Day Lounge in Aundh saw the launch of the third season of The Lounge Journals,a series of interactive sessions with celebrity speakers. Marathi writer and director Satish Rajwade enthralled the audience with the story of his journey from an actor to editor to director. A few in the audience also won signed video CDs of his films after a quiz themed on the director. “This session gave me an opportunity to meet and interact with many youngsters who are passionate about direction and would like to pursue a career in the field. The crowd was fantastic and it was great responding to questions from the enthusiastic people,” said Rajwade.

If Germany seems too way off to celebrate Oktoberfest,despair not. The best of German brews such as Kronenbourg,Leffe Blond,Heogaarden and Stella Artois are on the menu of Evviva Sky Lounge,Courtyard by Marriott,Pune City Centre,along with sausages and other German delicacies. The festivities begin at 6 pm everyday until October 6.

Wine and dine

Gourmands in the city can now take a sip of the Four Seasons wines at restaurants such as Spaghetti Kitchen,Olive Bistro and Pesto Pesto as the group goes on a seven-city tour of India with food and wine pairings. In Pune,the pairings will continue till October 5,while chefs from each of the restaurants pick the best dishes and combine them with just the right bouquet from the Four Seasons portfolio.

Masterchefs at Work

Cooking enthusiasts soaked in kitchen tips and tricks from chefs Noah Barnes and Mayak Tiwari from Olive Bistro,at the Koregaon Park branch of Godrej Nature’s Basket on Thursday. The chefs prepared wild mushroom risotto and pasta in puttenesca sauce and shared culinary lessons with the audience.

Double Mania

Weekends just got sweeter with Triple Thursdays at Mad Over Donuts,where foodies get three doughnuts free with every three they buy on a Thursday. They can choose from Choco Bomb,Dark Knight and other flavours. The offer is valid at all branches except airport kiosks.
