Maulana Azad awards given away

The Pune Muncipal Corporation today presented Maulana Abul Kalam Azad awards of three years to individuals and institutes. Abeda Inamdar,president,Deccan Muslim Institute received the award for year 2008 from Babasaheb Purandare and Mayor Mohansinh Rajpal. S A Rahman,Sakhalipeer Taleem Mandal were felicitated for year 2006,Dr H M Shaikh and Maharashtra State Urdu Teachers Sanghtana(Pune)felicitated for year 2009,while Dr Cyrus Poonawala and Rasta Peth Nagari Seva Sanghatana felicitated for year 2010.The Shiv Jayanti rally award was presented to Shikshan Mandal,Shree Shivaji Preparatory school and the Maharashtra Cosmopolitan Education Society. Various Ganesh mandals were also felicitated with awards.

MLC Vandana Chavan,Deputy Mayor Prasanna Jagtap,Ravindra Dhangekar,Mukta Tilak,Kishor Shinde,Ravindra Malwadkar,Arif Bagwan were present at

the function.
